Full Job Description

Counter-Form LLC, a leading regional manufacturer of laminate countertops, is seeking candidates for our 1st shift Custom Wood Fabricator position.

Work schedule: Full-time position with overtime.

Monday thru Friday starting at 6:30am (No weekends!!)

Specific job duties can vary from position to position, but all play a role in manufacturing work, which includes, inspecting product to ensure high quality laminate countertops.

Pay raise opportunity after 2 months and 6 months of employment!!

Responsibilities:

  • Read work orders regarding specifications on countertops
  • Safely operating machinery and equipment used in the fabrication process
  • Take instructions from supervisors
  • Responsible for quality control, check each piece to ensure correct core size and length, verify color and laminate number to listing.
  • Ability to build knowledge of materials, production processes, quality control techniques.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Meet project deadlines while maintaining a consistent level of accuracy and minimal scrap.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to guarantee a secure workplace.
  • Work within or with other departments as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow directions
  • Exceptional work ethic and capacity for teamwork
  • Ability to read a tape measure and have basic math skills, including fractions
  • Strength to lift up to 100 pounds intermittently, while bending and twisting for long periods of time.
  • Prior experience using woodworking equipment such as table and miter saws & handheld routers is required.
  • Experience or knowledge of kitchen/cabinet/woodworking/home interior design, layout blueprint reading/writing, or installation is a plus.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Able to read release paperwork
  • Required to wear the necessary protective equipment; to include safety glasses and earplugs.
  • Must have an understanding of and follow safety policies and procedures when in the facility to prevent accidents.
