Q: What is the warranty and care maintenance with a stainless steel sink and acrylic sink?
A: For Karran® Quartz, Acrylic and Edge Stainless Steel, visit the Karran® website.
Q: If I provide the sink, will Counter-Form install it?
A: Counter-Form can only install sinks that are made for undermounting in a laminate application. Call Counter-Form to verify: 1.855.384.2131
Q: How long does it take to get a top with an undermount sink?
A: With the popularity of undermount sinks, Counter-Form experiences a higher volume from week to week, which may create a longer lead time. Please schedule accordingly, and allow at least one extra week. (However, there are some weeks you may get your top within the normal lead time.)
Q: Are strainers available?
A: Yes, strainers are available for purchase separately .
Q: How far from the front of the countertop is the sink installed?
A: 2¾" is normal however this can vary for each job.
Q: Are faucet sleeves available?
A: Yes; all Karran® sinks come with plastic faucet sleeves that are very important and must be installed using silicone to cover any raw particle board that is exposed after drilling faucet holes through the laminate/deck. Simply cover the exposed particle board with silicone on the inside of the holes drilled, and then insert the plastic faucet sleeve. Excess squeeze out is good.
Q: Will Counter-Form cut the faucet holes?
A: Counter-Form does not recommend this. Faucet choices change, and Counter-Form does not have templates or locations.
Q: Do undermount sinks come installed? How are they installed?
A: Yes, undermount sinks do come installed. They are attached directly to the top. The sink is installed at the factory by gluing the sink directly to the laminate. Karran® makes sinks especially for undermounting in laminate. First, the particle board is removed from the backside of the countertop where the sink is to be installed, exposing just the backside of the laminate. This allows Counter-Form to glue the sink to the backside of the laminate. After solid surface glue has dried to the laminate, routers are used to trim and finish the process.
